This GM factory replacement rear view mirror with backup monitor and compass and temperature gage is compatible with all GM vehicles with GM emergency system buttons built into the mirror. If your current factory mirror has the GM emergency system buttons and a 16-pin removable black connector on the back of the mirror, you will be able to use your vehicles existing mirror wiring for a simplified connection (see installation guide for details).
If your current factory rear view mirror does not have the built-in compass and temperature gage that this mirror includes, you will still be able to use this product as it ships with a temperature sensor probe and harness combination.

Q: After installation the picture comes on for a split second and then disappears.
A: Check you camera connection, your camera must turn on instantly or already be on when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. If the mirror does not see an image fast enough it assumes that the camera is not present and so it turns off. (We recommend connecting the camera to ignition).

Q: Where do I connect my 2 wire temperature sensor?
A: Use pins 6 & 7, the sensors are resistance based and so there is no + or -.

Q: Where is the compass located?
A: All compass parts are built into mirror, there are no external parts.

Q: The Picture comes on for 2 minutes then turns off.
A: The mirror has a built-in timer and it only allows for 2 minute viewing (shifting vehicle out of reverse and back into reverse will reset timer).
