Rockford Fosgate has taken their subwoofers to the next level. The Stage 2 subwoofers offer deep bass and unparallelled quality with high-end features. These subwoofers accept up to 300 watts of power, the reinforced Kevlar 10" cone provides excellent sound quality with minimal distortion. Heat is the #1 concern with subwoofers, dissipating the heat is the challenge. Rockford Fosgate subwoofers use anodized aluminum voice coil formers that provide excellent heat dissipation. Aluminum is an excellent heat-sink and allows the Rockford P2D4-10 subwoofer to stay cool during high volume conditions.

The Rockford Fosgate P2D4-10 conforms to CEA-2031 industry standards. This means your 10" subwoofer has the capacity to handle power under continuous demand, not instantaneous power handling, that over time, can damage voice coils.

V.A.S.T. Stands for Vertical Attach Surround Technique, this technology significantly increases a subwoofer's effective radiating cone area up to 25%. This design allows for more output from an equivalent speaker size without increasing installation challenges. This is done by eliminating the large flat glue surface area (the landing), which allows the surround to be shifted for increased cone area. This improves efficiency and output dramatically.

To reduce fatigue and prevent catastrophic damage from shorts the P2D4-10 10" subwoofer uses stitched tinsel leads. By using this technology fatigue on the leads is dissipated over a greater area which improves the life of the subwoofer and contributes to a robust design.
