Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-10 10" Punch P3S Shallow Mount Subwoofer - Dual 2 Ohm coils

Rockford Fosgate has taken their P3 shallow subwoofers to the highest level. The Stage 3 shallow subwoofers offer deep bass and unparalleled quality with the thinnest profile. These subwoofers accept up to 400 watts of power RMS, the 10" Anodized aluminum cone and dust-cap provides excellent sound quality with minimal distortion. The shallow motor assembly has a new dual linear spider with embedded tinsel leads that keeps the cone in perfect alignment and allows for high excursion levels.

Heat is the #1 concern with subwoofers, dissipating the heat is the challenge. Rockford Fosgate P3S shallow subwoofers use anodized aluminum voice coil former's that provide excellent heat dissipation. Aluminum is an excellent heat-sink and allows the Rockford P3SD2-10 subwoofer to stay cool during high volume conditions. The high-temperature voicecoil is designed with a Nomex reinforcement collar and meant to handle even the loudest volume levels.

The Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-10 conforms to CEA-2031 industry standards. This means your 10" subwoofer has the capacity to handle power under continuous demand, not instantaneous power handling, that over time can damage voice coils.

V.A.S.T. Stands for Vertical Attach Surround Technique, this technology significantly increases a subwoofer's effective radiating cone area up to 25%. This design allows for more output from an equivalent speaker size without increasing installation challenges. This is done by eliminating the large flat glue surface area (the landing), which allows the surround to be shifted for increased cone area. This improves efficiency and output dramatically.

To reduce fatigue and prevent catastrophic damage from shorts the P3SD2-10 10" subwoofer uses stitched tinsel leads. By using this technology fatigue on the leads is dissipated over a greater area which improves the life of the subwoofer and contributes to a robust design.
